The Czech authorities found a sharp object in a mackerel fillet of Moroccan origin, which was also shipped to Hungary and Slovakia
According to the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH), it was found during a market inspection that the canned fish contained fragments smaller than 0.5 centimeters, however, the composition and origin of the foreign material is still unknown.
On the initiative of the Czech wholesaler that distributes canned mackerel, the product is withdrawn from circulation. The implementation of the measures is also supervised by the Hungarian authorities.
